A clinical performance by George Russell across the entire Las Vegas weekend has given him a boost not only in the overall points standings but in these rankings as well.
Before we find out just how much, the usual disclaimer. You know the drill, these are all subjective and based mainly on my (incredibly smart) opinion mixed with form and on-track results, meaning it is a generally subjective list that holds no real weight except for the large basis of fact I like to think I can generate.
So with that in mind, let’s get to the rankings!
10. Oscar Piastri (-1)
A quiet weekend by Oscar, but still some points on the board for the Aussie. These are important given a certain Carlos Sainz is closing in on him for fourth in the Championship. Keep holding on Oscar.
9. Pierre Gasly (-4)
An amazing qualifying was for nothing after his engine let him down during the race. Still, based on his podium in Brazil and third on the grid in Las Vegas, he has to remain in the top ten.

8. Yuki Tsunoda (-1)
A great weekend by Yuki with more points on the board. How he continues to be overlooked for the Red Bull seat continues to baffle me.
7. Nico Hulkenberg (new)
Still might be the star of the season, Nico put in another great weekend in Las Vegas after a bit of a drop in Brazil. A real shame to see him going to a team next year that will struggle to show the results he is fully capable of.
6. Lando Norris (-4)
Harsh to drop him down so much but it wasn’t a great weekend for Lando and others above him were just better. No Championship for him in 2024, but the seeds have been sown for future tilts which will surely come in droves.
5. Carlos Sainz (new)
After a tense battle with his teammate all weekend, Carlos showed no prisoners when it came to securing the final podium spot. Not sure whether team orders delivered to him would’ve been followed had they been in Spanish (sorry Charles), but it’s safe to say his final few races at Ferrari will definitely be spent showing off his skills rather than his ability to listen to said orders.
4. Charles Leclerc (-1)
A seemingly quiet weekend by Charles but still a strong and consistent showing overall. Never heard him swear as much as he did on the cool-down lap though. Is a swear jar perhaps imminent at Ferrari moving forward?
3. Lewis Hamilton (+7)
An incredible drive by Lewis showed that no matter what some say, he definitely has still got it. Surely would’ve won the race had his qualifying not been so poor. Sets himself up well for the final two races and his transition into red in 2025.

2. George Russell (+2)
Looked on fire all weekend and thoroughly deserved his win. The great news for George was that he actually got to keep this one this time, making it even better for the British driver.
1. Max Verstappen (-)
Fifth place might not scream a great drive, but Max controlled his own destiny all race to secure his fourth Championship and do exactly what he needed to do. The fact that he remains so consistent and in the hunt for high finishes in a car that has been nowhere near the fastest for most of the season once again showcases how good he is, and his World Championship win only secures this fact even more.
