Momentum swings continue to be the theme of the year for F1, especially in the realm of the team power rankings.
Before we find out just how much that momentum has potentially swung, let’s get the disclaimer over and done with. You know the drill, these are all subjective and based mainly on my (incredibly smart) opinion mixed with form and on-track results, meaning it is a generally subjective list that holds no real weight except for the large basis of fact I like to think I can generate.
So with that in mind, let’s get to the rankings.
10. Kick Sauber (-)
They’re apparently still there! Barely. But they are! Still no points though. And still nowhere near them.
9. Williams (-)
Yes, Albon got points. Yes Sargeant had his best weekend of the year and missed out on a point by less than ten seconds. But one race doesn’t stop a form slump, and prior to Silverstone that is exactly what they were in. Given we’re off to Hungary next, the complete opposite of Britain in terms of track style, things look likely to drop back again for them. Prove me wrong and I will raise you next time around.
8. Alpine (-3)
Ouch. After such a strong run of form, they soon find themselves right back at the back again. A poor showing that hopefully will be a one off for them.
7. RB (-)
Another point for the team in a weekend that saw them not really challenge too much. A point is a point however, and they’ll be happy with that given how tight the field is around them.

6. Aston Martin (+2)
Shall we just call them the yoyo team of 2024? Seriously. One weekend they suck. The next they get double points. Luckily for them it was the latter in Silverstone, and a couple of spots are claimed on this list due to that.
5. Haas (+1)
Amazing result to see Haas once again in sixth and, for the most part, seeming faster than the works team that provides them engines. Props to them even more so given that many predicted they would finish 2024 without a single point.
4. Ferrari (-)
Where are they? What are they doing? Where have they gone? As a Ferrari fan writing this, that is just me asking those questions out loud. Monaco was amazing. Australia was incredible. Everything else? I don’t even know what has happened. I just hope it can change soon.
3. Red Bull (-1)
Still a one-man team, and at a time when they need both drivers to be fighting for the wins more than ever. Verstappen remains a class above everyone else, dragging the car to positions it really shouldn’t be in right now after such a drop-off in form. The issue of course remains Perez, who looks to be on borrowed time, despite that contract renewal.

2. Mercedes (+1)
Two wins in a season for the first time since 2021! A great showing for Mercedes. Given how far they’ve come since the start of the season, it’s great to see them up the top again. And given that they are also a team where both drivers are shining, that also easily vaults them up a spot in these rankings.
1. McLaren (-)
Threw away another win, but still the in-form team right now. By far the most consistent team of the last few rounds, they just need to hold it together to find the top step again.
What do you think of this list? Which order would you currently rank the teams in? Let me know your thoughts below!
